How a Session Runs
Introduction (Facilitator Format)
As this workbook was developed, it became clear that much of the instruction was repetitive from story to story. To simplify and strengthen the process, a consistent format is provided for each session. If you are using this workbook in a group setting, the facilitator can follow this structure each time to keep things organized, efficient, and focused. If you choose to use this workbook individually, with a spouse, or with a child, you may adapt this format as needed. This is simply a guide to help create meaningful discussion, encourage participation, and keep the mission on track through each story.
1. Arrival / Social (10–15 min)
People gather, casual conversation, settle in.
2. Opening Prayer (2–3 min)
Set tone for group, invite focus and humility.
3. Group Sharing (10 min)
2–3 volunteers share their story.
Group listens for personality and emotion—not just facts.
4. Pair Breakout (15–20 min)
Break into pairs and spread out (corners, hallway, or outside if needed).
5–7 minutes per person.
Sit facing each other, hold hands if comfortable, close eyes.
Focus on feelings, not just details.
5. Transition / Reset (5 min)
Return to group, reset room.
6. Closing Prayer (2–3 min)
Short prayer, optional guided line for those uncomfortable praying.
7. Wrap / Social (5–10 min)
Light conversation, reinforce connections.
TOTAL TIME: ~55–65 minutes
